local ecumenism
Some of the most ecumenical activity happens at local level - local churches and Christians coming together to seek better understanding and greater unity.
In many areas of our nations there are flourishing Churches Together groups and also ecumenical partnerships where congregations seek more formalised agreements to share buildings, church life or ministry.
Each year Churches Together in Britain and Ireland, in partnership with the National Ecumenical Instruments, produces material for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity.
