New studies for Advent produced by the Learning and Development Forums of the Methodist Church in Scotland and Shetland, and the Methodist Church in Wales. It is the first bilingual Welsh and English booklet in a series of resources called Living Upside Down produced for small groups. Based on the traditional of the Plygain carols the studies take us on a journey that reflects the advent theme of waiting.

A World in Waiting - Advent hope in an economic crisis

Our substantial resource for Advent 2009 took the economic crisis as its theme, looking at the crisis in relation to the roots of our Christian beliefs and values. It provided daily reflections for the 4 weeks of Advent, plus extras, for personal use, group study, or worship preparation.

Although they were based on the lectionary readings for Advent 2009 (year C), much of the rich content and the economic issues discussed are still very current and may be helpful to those looking for study material.
