The first-ever Church Times Green Church Awards ceremony was held on 19th November 2007 at St Mary-le-Bow church in the City of London. The Awards scheme, first announced in February 2007, was conceived by the Church Times, which then worked with a number of leading Christian agencies in the field of environmental action to make awards in six different categories. Holy Trinity, Cleeve, won the overall first prize as Green Church of the Year for its range of environmental activities. Full information about the scheme is available at www.greenchurchawards.org
