Christians Abroad is a project of CTBI, covering the areas listed below.

It is a self funding project and does not rely on grants, although it is in receipt of individual donations in support of the services provided.

International Mission/Volunteering: provides self funded opportunities for individuals of 18+ to work in international projects in Africa, Asia and the Middle East supported by a local Christian community for periods from one month to one year.

Consultancy: Provides consultancy services re selection, preparation, support and debriefing to individuals, churches and agencies. Specialising in 'bespoke' preparation, debriefing and programme management services for particular individuals, couples or small groups that cannot easily be managed by larger group preparation and debriefing or do not fit into management structures available within an agency.

Services: Provides travel, health, emergency and manual insurance (including a power tool endorsement) for short term visits and workcamps in international mission and development and longer term medical cover for mission and development workers. Provides an agency service for VDW National Insurance contributions for UK citizens temporarily resident abroad in particular countries identified by HMRC. Provides as part of its placement service, sourcing of low cost air fares, visa services and health checks (Inter Health) through partner agencies. Seeks to be a comprehensive one stop service to the independent Christian volunteer in mission and development.
