Churches Together in Britain and Ireland marked the centenary of the birth of Bishop Lesslie Newbigin, the distinguished and influential missionary, ecumenist and theologian.

A Day Conference was held at Queen's College Birmingham,
11th December 2009.
Programme
The Conference included two lectures by Dr Veli-Matti Kärkkäinen, Professor of Systematic Theology at Fuller Theological Seminary. Dr Kärkkäinen talked on the theme of 'The Church in the Post-Christian Society Between Modernity and Late Modernity: L.Newbigin's Post-Critical Missional Ecclesiology'.
