inter-religious marriages

Relations between people of different religions pose many challenges. This is especially so for men and women who have married someone of a different faith.

In 1998, the Islam in Europe Committee of the Conference of European Churches published pastoral guidelines on Christian-Muslim marriages: Marriages between Christians and Muslims: Pastoral Guidelines for Christians and Churches in Europe (edited by Christopher Lamb). This is available for download:

Churches Together in Britain and Ireland supports the Inter Faith Marriage Network link to external website which offers help and support to those in mix faith marriages or to those considering such a marriage.

From time to time, churches arrange conferences on this subject and we will publish the details here.
